Ben Vorlich (Approx 35 mins)
With a commanding view over Loch Earn and the loch Lomond and Trossachs national park, Ben Vorlich is a great day hike set in a stunning location
Ben Ledi (Approx 50 mins)
A great introduction to hillwalking with a good track. Great, far-reaching views for an easier hill. Conveniently located near Callander so a baked treat from Mhor bread afterwards is a must.
Ben More (Approx. 55 mins)
Ben More is a towering pyramid of a mountain that sours high above the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. As the highest peak in the local Crianlarich range, it has far reaching views all over the western and central highlands.

Loch Earn (approx. 30 mins)
A beautiful loch at the edge of the Southern Highlands, with water sports, walking, and the village of St Fillans for lunch overlooking the water.
Loch Tay (approx. 40 mins)
One of Perthshire’s largest and most dramatic lochs, with excellent kayaking, walking, and the charming village of Killin at its western end, set beside the Falls of Dochart. One of the most photographed villages in Scotland for good reason!

The closest higher-end restaurant, named for the spectacular gorge walk on the River Lednock. A proper dinner out.

Good food, unpretentious, reliable. A local institution.
Delivino, Crieff (approx. 25 mins)
Enjoy the taste of the mediterranean with food philosophy from Spain, Italy and France. This relaxed and unpretentious atmosphere belie the quality of the food making it a great place for families, couples or solo dining alike.
Craobh, Crieff (approx. 25 mins)
Craobh, draws on the traditional hospitality Scotland is known for, combining local ingredients with influences from further afield, and strikes an easy balance between a bright brunch spot and an elegant evening meal. Dog-friendly, too.

The nearest village, known as ‘the shaky toun’ for its position on the Highland Boundary Fault. The Earthquake House, home of the world’s first seismometer, is worth a visit, as are the Deil’s Cauldron gorge walk and the Flambeaux fire festival in January.
Cultybraggan Camp: Located on the edge of Comrie, a fascinating former prisoner of war camp now run by the community, with a museum, quirky cafe, and a remarkable sense of history.
Also operating from here is John Thomson’s Woodland Crafts offering woodworking and woodland craft sessions with a local expert: spoon carving, chair making, and traditional woodland skills in a beautiful outdoor setting. A lovely half-day for guests who want to make something with their hands.

Scone Palace: Visit the historical crowning place of the Kings and Queens of Scotland, now a Palace with beautiful grounds with thousands of years of history on site.
Done Castle: Experience a true Scottish castle at Doune on a site that has housed rulers but also featured in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, game of thrones and Outlander.
Drummond Castle: One of the finest formal gardens in Scotland, dating to the 17th century. The parterre viewed from the top of the staircase is one of the great garden experiences in the UK. Open May to October.
Stirling Castle: Just under an hour from the estate you can enjoy stunning views from the ancient capital of Scotland, this culturally significant castle was once home to Kings and Queens and is one of Scotland’s most significant castles. Just the other side of Stirling is the Wallace Memorial, celebrating William Wallace a Scottish rebel against the English. Climb this stunning tower for breathtaking views over the central belt and towards the Highlands.

Step through the gate and the estate opens into open Highland terrain. A series of trails of varying difficulty are available for guests, with route maps and difficulty guides provided at the farmhouse. From gentle glen walks through the lower valley to more demanding ridge routes with wide views across Perthshire, there is a walk here for every level. Ben Chonzie, the closest Munro at 931 metres, is accessible directly from the estate and a half-day hike with views stretching for miles on a clear day.

Glen Lednock is a well-regarded climbing destination with bouldering, sport, and traditional climbing on and immediately adjacent to the Invergeldie estate. Guidebooks with maps of routes, difficulties, and grades are available at the farmhouse: whether you’re looking for an introductory clamber or a serious technical climb, this Glen has something for you.

Invergeldie Estate is home to red deer, mountain hares, red grouse, and golden eagles, to name but a few with species and numbers expanding as the restoration work takes hold. For wildlife photographers, this landscape offers genuinely world-class opportunities: bring a long lens and allow a full day. On arrival, younger guests receive a bespoke estate wildlife and nature spotter’s checklist, with birds, animals, plants, and trees to find during their stay.

Niche but unmissable for the right guest. This abandoned mine above Loch Tay was used as the filming location for the Cave of the Killer Rabbit in Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Remote, atmospheric, and worth the detour for those die-hard Monty Python fans!
